In 2010 Hunter Valley Steamfest will celebrate 25 years of operation, a remarkable achievement by any stretch and a credit to the 1000’s of dedicated staff, volunteers and committee’s and who have devoted countless hours over the last 25 years to keep our regions proud steam and rail history alive through this great event.

Hundreds of thousands of local, regional, interstate and international visitors have helped make Hunter Valley Steamfest the great event it is today and to celebrate this support, festival organisers are planning an expanded 25th anniversary program.

 

Share your Steamfest Stories

To celebrate 25 wonderful years of Steamfest we are looking to compile as much living history of the event as possible. Should you have any special Steamfest stories, images, newspaper articles or event programs that you would like to share we want to hear from you.

The best photos sourced will contribute to a special 25 year Steamfest Showcase and programs and other key material will be added onto the History section within this website for all to enjoy.
